The Logandale Trail System became a reality after a select few people took their dreams to the powers that be and convinced them that it was possible to create a Public Trail System, accessible to all, for all Off Road Enthusiasts: ATVs, Dirt Bikes, Hikers, Equesterians...usually it’s next to impossible to get these groups to agree to anything, but in this case, through the hard work of people like Christina Adams, Ron Loomis, and Dave Barajas from the BLM, all the different groups agreed that to make this Trail System work, they must work together.
And so they did, and so it came to be. Sound much simpler than the reality and red tape that it entailed, but in the end, all would agree, it was well worth it.
The Trail System is located on the North Side of the Valley of Fire and the scenery is incredible breathtaking: Fiery Red Rock Formations, Sandstone Cliffs, Native American Petroglyphs dating back thousands of years...these are just a few of the highlights of this awesome Off Road Area.
Many creatures call this place home including many varieties of lizards, snakes, spider, bighorn sheep, and even the protected Desert Tortoise.
There are many varieties of plants, and the UNLV Master Gardeners donated their time to plant a beautiful Cactus Garden, located at the start of the trail head.
So come on over to the Logandale Trail System and enjoy the area that many people and businesses donated their time and effort to.
